Have you heard about the Coca-Cola app? It offers a chance to win prizes by playing free games – and sometimes by purchasing Coke, Fanta and Sprite products!
In the app you can earn gems or coins from playing free games, or from entering codes from bottles and cans. You can then redeem these to enter prize draws or instant win promotions. Most promotions on the app are free to enter for NZ residents aged 16+.
Note that residents of Ireland usually have to make a purchase to enter the Coca-Cola app prize draws and instant wins, and the promotions are separate to the NZ details I have listed here. Find out more at www.coca-cola.nz
The Diet Coke This is My Taste promotion for NZ residents runs from 1 April 2025 to 31 July 2025 with 1,000 prizes of a $10 Love2Shop gift voucher to be won (no purchase is necessary).
The Wanta Fanta? promotion for NZ residents runs from 1 April 2025 to 13 May 2025 (with a late draw closing on 31 July 2025) with a top prize of $30,000 cash, plus fortnightly gaming/music/food/fashion prizes – plus 484 cash prizes to be won in weekly draws (no purchase is necessary).
The Coke Zero Love Pizza? Win a Pizza promotion for NZ residents is now in the late draw phase, with just ten pizza prizes to be won, with entries closing on 20 May 2025.
The Sprite Heat Hacks promotion for NZ residents runs from 15 July 2024 to 31 July 2025 with branded Sprite socks, t shirts and notebooks as well as Deliveroo vouchers to be won – earn coins by playing the free games to enter the monthly prize draw (no purchase is necessary).
How to use the Coca-Cola app
Download the free Coca-Cola app from Google Play or the App store
Register your details on the app (you’ll need to click on a link in your email to complete registration)
Upload receipt, photos or enter pin codes from bottle caps for the ‘purchase necessary’ promotions
Or simply play the free games to earn gems and coins – you can usually play a maximum of 5 times each day to earn gems/coins (you can continue to play after this but will not earn gems/coins)
Use the gems & coins to enter prize draws and instant wins – to do this, tap any Prizes option from the home screen, then select All Prizes to see what’s on offer. Then tap the red ticket or arrow on the right hand side of the main graphic to enter the instant win/prize draw!
Some instant wins and prize draws can be entered without any gems or coins!
You will find out immediately if you’ve won or lost an instant win. Winners will receive confirmation of their prize by email, this could take a few days.
Prize draw winners will be informed by email from noreply@cocacola.nz – it might go to your junk folder

If the graphic on a prizes screen is faint, you’re not able to enter that promotion. It may not yet be open, or you have already won maximum prizes, or had the maximum number of entries into the draw already.
Coins are brand-specific, but the gems you earn playing games are not brand-specific. So you can play the game you find easiest, to maximise your gems! Every game has a different maximum number of gems/coins you can earn each day.
How to enter the Wanta Fanta? promotion
Prize draw on the app – you don’t need to enter any codes from products to win.
Earn 200 gems by answering the question, and then use 50 gems to enter the weekly draw or 150 to enter the bi-weekly prize draw (all weekly and bi-weekly draw entries go into the Grand Prize Draw too).
Weekly prize draw (464 prizes in total):
51 x $10 available to be won in weeks 1-4 and 50 x $10 available to be won weeks 5-6.
18 x $20 available to be won in weeks 1 &2 and 17 x $20 available to be won in weeks 3-6

How to enter the Diet Coke This is my Taste promotion
Win prizes by playing the free Diet Coke game on the app, then using the gems earned to enter the weekly prize draws to win one of a thousand $10 Love2Shop gift vouchers. Prizes are split between 16 weekly draws.
To play the game, match three items to make them disappear and be replaced by new ones. The more items you match, the more levels you pass and the more gems you can earn to enter our weekly prize draw for the chance to win to win prizes. You will also be awarded bonus gems if you get a perfect score.

Win prizes by playing the free Sprite Heat Hacks games on the app – you don’t need to enter any codes from products to win. Earn coins by playing the game, and then use 50 Sprite coins to enter the monthly prize draw.

To play the Heat Hacks games, tap Games from the main screen and swipe to HEAT HACKS, then choose your game. To play the Pop and Refresh game, make chains of three or more of the same type, eliminating them from the board and replacing them with new ones, giving you the chance to potentially creating further chains to fill the cool-o-meter. You will also be awarded bonus Gems if you get a perfect score. To play Cool Down Combos, tap and drag water droplets to make bigger drops – you’ll score when they drop off the can, but don’t run out of moves before you fill the cool-o-meter! To play Topple the Pops, launch your fruit with the catapult to topple the cans of Sprite.
You can play each game five times a day – once you have reached this limit, you can continue to play but won’t earn any more coins. The limit resets each day at midnight.
